Ask any business owner on the internet what their biggest challenge is and their answer is more than likely going to be creating a solid sales copy for their services or products. The sales copy is taking the place of actually being able to feel and touch your products. In other words, you have to be able to tell your potential buyers all of the benefits and do so convincingly. In fact, you have to be able to convince your potential customer that you have the answer and solution to their problems. After all, this is why people are searching the internet in most all cases anyways.
As a business owner, you already believe in your product. You have done everything you can to make sure that you are offering your customers incentives, a competitive price, and a great product. Now all you need to do is get those customers to buy from your business, your first step is a solid, effective, and well-written sales copy. So, how do you write an effective sales letter? Well, the problem is that there are several different ways. The whole goal for you is that you keep the copy simple, attractive, attentive to their needs, and that it gets right to your point.
Your sales letter should have a variety of components included. As long as these components are included you will have yourself an outstanding and powerful sales copy. Your first component and probably the most important is what do you, your product, or your services offer your customer that is unique and beneficial. What you really need to be asking yourself is how does your specific company stand out from all of the rest. This is your sales copy basis.
You see you are in competition with all of the other businesses online trying for the exact same company. You have to convince your potential customers that you offer a more unique service, product, and that it is better than all the rest. For example, perhaps you offer a better price or more value for their money. Maybe the product is simply superior when it is compared to the others or maybe you just offer higher and better customer service than you competitors.
Remember, this is your basis; this is what everything else in your sales letter is going to surround. Now, how do you set up your sales letter? Well, there is somewhat of an outline that you should use. This is designed to appeal to the eye and the way people read text. It is designed to ensure that the appropriate things stand out and keeps everything running smoothly.
Here is your basic outline of a good, compelling sales letter:
Headline
This is the very first thing your customers will read. This is where you can tell them how your product or service will benefit them.
Unique Selling Position
Remember your basis? This is where you put this, but make sure it is in simple language and that it tells the reader, hey, you have found a truly unique answer to your problem.
Advantage
Most people do not like to read unless it is interesting. You have to keep their interest by outlining the different advantages that they can benefit from by buying from you. This is what makes your reader wonder if this is something they can really use. Use clear points, build want and desire, and use bullet points; about three to five is all you really need.
Repeat Your Headline
Make sure you are telling your customers once again what the specific benefit is that they will gain from purchasing right now.
Feature List
Your customers will want to know what they can get if they buy from you. Therefore, make sure you offer a small, but attractive feature list. What does your product have that makes it unique? This is generally where most potential buyers decide whether or not they want to buy from you.
With well written text, you should have hopefully gotten the desire, interest, and attention of your potential buyer. Now you have to focus on closing your sale. You want to emphasize that now is the time to buy. Do you have an incentive for your buyer? What will you give them if they act right now? This is completely up to you, but offering incentives generally increases your rate of sales.
You want to make sure that you straight out ask your potential customer to make a purchase. It is something necessary and gives them an avenue to do so. Making sure you include every component listed here will ensure that you have a solid sales letter and will help in increasing your sales.
